The BIS program is a great way to graduate college. It allowes you to pick two majors to concentrate on to eventually get your degree. It is a Bachlor in Interdisiplainary Studies. I am real happy with my choice to graduate with a BIS Degree!

I chose BIS because I knew that I wanted to major in business, but also knew I had a big interest in real estate and urban planning fit that. I could learn all about business while learning about urban planning as well to eventually learn the knowledge of both.

The two concentrations I chose really worked with eachother to make the most out of my college career.

BIS 301 - I learned all about BIS program and how to get the most out of it.
BIS 302 - I started combining my two concentration areas and learned how to use them to help me the most. I also learned how to use these concentrations to work off one another to bring me the most success possible.
BIS 401- I learned what it was like to be in the working force and maintain a real job. I had an experience that could not be taught in the classroom but only learned and taught through having an actual job and learning while doing. I walked away from my internship having learned much more than I would have predicted.
BIS 402 - I learned all about myself and the way  I learn and who I really am. I also learned what it takes for myself to be successful and what I need to do to obtain those goals that I have set for my self.

Business - The business concentration deals with all aspects of business working in the business world. It involves, accounting, economics, marketing, communication, and other business related clases. It touches on all things associated with business and gets detaield and specific without going too in depth in any one area. It really is a macro learning experience of the entire business world.

Urban Plannin - The urban planning concentration delt with real estate. It delt with the planning of a city and sub developments throughout the subburbs. It also delt with the ways planners planned the city dealing with codes and laws. Another thing it deals with is how to change a city already build to cater towards the changing enviornment. Urban planning has a real estate base with planning incorporated in.
